UPDATED VIDEOS ABOUT SHOULDER INJURY FROM A FLU SHOT (SIRVA)

I posted a blog back in January giving links to information about SIRVA.  The name stands for Shoulder Injury Resulting from Vaccine Administration.  SIRVA is a known side effect of a flu shot or other vaccine injection.  It is recognized as a Table Injury by the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  More and more, the medical community and other respected sources are posting material online to let people know that, although rare, SIRVA is real.

In addition to the excellent articles I mentioned before, there are very helpful videos online.  Some of these mention the COVID-19 vaccine, which is not covered by the Program, but the injury is the same.  In fact, SIRVA is most common after the seasonal flu shot.  Here are two very informative videos…

The purpose of these videos is not to discourage flu shots or other vaccinations.  In fact, they all promote the use of vaccines, including the seasonal flu shot.  They explain that SIRVA is uncommon, but it does happen, and it is real.

You can contact us about a possible Vaccine Injury by visiting our Contact page. And you can learn more about the NVICP and our firm's representation of persons with possible Vaccine Injury claims by visiting the Vaccine Injury page and reading other postings found under our Blog tab.
